EJNI research has identified a number of persistent concerns surrounding the protection of the environment and access to environmental justice in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and in relation to transboundary environmental challenges. Many of the barriers to environmental justice are complex, crosscutting issues which fall under the remit of a number of Northern Irish Ministers. There are however some urgent priorities which we believe the Department of Justice could take steps to address.
